[L4L] Munich the fake city.

10 Feb,
Today we start our day with a free city tour trip prepared by our hostel,
We can't afford to miss any free stuff!(well except for the free 4shots offered by the hostel of course)

The tour start at 10.45 at Marientplatz.
First our tour guide explained about the 2nd most overrated tourist attraction in Europe which is the Neues Rothaus.
Every 1 hour, you can hear the bell's sound and the statue below it will dance.

It was quite an experience!

Bavarian army was the worst army in the world-just saying, our tour guide said it.
They had no weapon, the only weapon they had was their beer mug.
Oh by the way, Germany is famous for it's beer.

Next we went to St Peter Church and some more history were poured, and I dont r
emember it well..
But some thing I do learn from the tour is that the city of Munich you see now is a FAKE!
Why?

Because it was rebuilt.
Before Munich was bombed in WW2,
They have asked all the photograper to take photos of all the details of the city.
All.
and they store it at the bunker.
And after Munich was destroyed, and the Germans takes control back,
They rebuilt the city like it was before.
Man, I can't write all the story our tour guide told us, but it was really exciting to know the
history of Munich itself.

After that,
we went to the ViktualientMarkt,
where the townspeople from earlier days buys food and stuff but now the price is skyrocket high and high quality stuff are sold.
Next we went to the city hall where the famous "Night of the Broken Glass" happened.
It's related to the murder of European's Jews by Hitler.
I won't write more.

Besides it,
there's a famous Julliette Statue where people rubs the statue for good fortune.
pfft.

And we can't follow on the next tour,
As our feet are frozen cold and it's already noon.
Gotta find a mosque for Jumaat Prayer!
Finally,
We went for solat Jumaat in Munich in a building above a kebap shop.
The khutbah was in Turkish,
and we saw a lot of people,
from Turkish, Pakistani, Indians, even Germans.

Then,
we went to a Pakistani restaurant for all you can eat buffet!

After a while,
everyone started to settle down in the hostel.
The event now is free,
so everyone seems to go to their own direction.
Some went for souvenirs,
Some went for Chocolates,
Some went for handbags.
Some went for coffee.

Oh yeah a combination of Butterbretzel with a cup of 1euro Coffee really kicks up in this
weather!
