Second Day at The Town Where Statues Naked

30 January 2011,

We were on fire this morning to visit all the historical site here in Athens.
"Come on, we're in Greece. In Europe! Let's get out and have some nice Europe air!!"
So as early as 8 am,
We gone out of our hostels heading to the place"where civilization starts".
First Stop-The Parthenon.

Yes!
We've been there.
By walking, it'll take less than half an hour to go there as its not far from our hostels.
The Parthenon situated at a top of a 'short mountain' and we have to climb all the way to there.
At first glimpse,
we saw it was like 'Qal'ah Salah Ad-Deen' in Egypt which was now guarded by the military because of the ruckus right now in Egypt but it is totally differ.

So, it was a, what I have to say a beautiful and historical monument.
After been froze up there by its freezing windy weather, we decided to get down.

On our way back,
we visited the Acropolis Museum.
but only for a while, not even get inside.
yeah because there's only lame archeological finding there.
We're not archeologist or even have the enthusiasm to see them.
So, we just neglect it.
Take a couple picture, then leave.haha, funny.

Then we visit the Temple of Zeus.
Nowadays,
It's just a mere couple of pillar which is quite awesome too.

Then we go to Zappeion,
which we don't even have a clue what it is.
we just know that it looks like the Whitehouse.

Then we headed back to our hostel to get some rest, pray.

We continued our journey to the Museum of National Archeology.
but we only managed to get in for a couple of minute,
Because the visiting hour is over.
Visiting hour for all museums and parks only until 3p.m on saturday and sunday.
So, we went back.

"Flea Market"
No. It's not a place where they sell flea.
It's where they sell souvenirs.

So, we get ourselves some T-shirts.
and other stuff.

Later that night,
We get on the Metro station at Syntagma to go to Larissa Station,
The plan was to buy train tickets straight to Sofia, Bulgaria.
Sadly, the ticket counter was closed.
So then, we have nowhere to go,
Not until Faiz came up with his brilliant idea to visit the Olympic Stadium of Athens.
It was located at Irini.
We need to change our train at Attiki from Larissa.
I'm sure you're quite blurrr with the names. Don't worry about it.
The Stadium was quite awesome.

After a long day journey,
we decided to call it a day.
We managed to take picture with Mr. Walied; The Syrian-born-Greek
Who helped us a lot during our journey,
Thank you my brother.
We will always remember you.

p/s-oh yeah.I forgot to mention. Our first Greek words to be learn there was "Esfaresto"
which means thank you.
We learn it at the airport from the money exchanger lady.
